407

Project Overview

Hangar One Avionics partnered with the Stanislaus County Sheriff Department to retrofit a Bell 407 helicopter with upgraded mission systems tailored for observation and search and rescue operations. The aircraft was enhanced with modern avionics, advanced communication systems, and integrated surveillance technology to improve situational awareness, coordination, and overall mission effectiveness.

The upgrade included a multi-band communication suite, digital audio system, and quick-disconnect radio provisions to support seamless field operations. A high-definition MX-10 camera system paired with mapping technology and dual display systems delivers real-time aerial intelligence, while NVIS-compatible lighting, searchlight integration, and enhanced exterior lighting support both day and night missions. Additional capabilities such as a dual cargo hook system and updated cabin configuration further expand operational versatility, enabling the aircraft to perform reliably across a wide range of public safety missions.
