Project Overview
Hangar One Avionics partnered with the Ohio State Police to transform a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan into a high-performance observation platform, purpose-built for aerial surveillance and mission support. The aircraft was outfitted with advanced avionics, enhanced communications, and integrated mission systems to deliver real-time intelligence, improve coordination, and elevate operational effectiveness in the field.
The build included custom instrument panel upgrades, mission-specific power distribution, and a removable workstation to support flexible deployment scenarios. A robust communication suite featuring multi-band transceivers, wireless intercom systems, and satellite connectivity ensures uninterrupted coordination during operations. Equipped with a high-definition MX-15 camera system, mapping and tracking technology, microwave downlink, and dual-display video systems, the aircraft provides continuous live intelligence. Additional enhancements such as radar altimeter integration, weather systems, external blackout lighting, and airframe performance upgrades further strengthen mission capability, precision, and reliability.
