Project Overview
Hangar One Avionics partnered with the Kansas Highway Patrol to transform a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan into a fully equipped observation platform, tailored for aerial surveillance and mission support. The aircraft was outfitted with advanced avionics, communication systems, and specialized observation technology to enhance real-time situational awareness, operational coordination, and in-flight efficiency.
The scope included custom instrument panel enhancements, integrated mission power distribution, and a removable workstation to support flexible mission operations. Equipped with a multi-band communication suite, satellite connectivity, and quick-disconnect handheld radio provisions, the aircraft ensures seamless communication in the field. A high-performance MX-15 camera system, paired with mapping, downlink, and dual-display video systems, delivers live intelligence and tracking capabilities, enabling the Kansas Highway Patrol to execute surveillance operations with precision, speed, and reliability.
