Project Overview
Hangar One Avionics delivered a Bell 429 multi-mission helicopter to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, purpose-built to support observation, search and rescue, and firefighting operations. As part of an ongoing fleet expansion, this aircraft was equipped with advanced avionics, communication systems, and mission-critical technology designed to enhance situational awareness, operational coordination, and rapid response capabilities in high-demand environments.
The configuration includes integrated weather systems, multi-band communications, satellite connectivity, and a full suite of video, mapping, and tracking technologies anchored by a nose-mounted MX-10 camera system. NVIS-compatible lighting, searchlight integration, and cabin lighting arrays support both day and night operations, while specialized rescue equipment such as hardpoint fixtures, hoist provisions, and Bambi bucket support enable multi-role mission execution. Complemented by airframe enhancements, custom interior configurations, and onboard tracking systems, the aircraft delivers the performance, reliability, and versatility required for critical public safety operations.
