Project Overview
Hangar One Avionics partnered with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to revitalize its aging AS350B2 fleet through a full re-completion program, centered around a 12-year inspection cycle and complete aircraft teardown. Each platform underwent a full de-mod and rebuild, transforming legacy systems into modern, mission-ready assets equipped with advanced avionics, enhanced communications, tactical lighting, and critical safety systems. The result is a fully reimagined aircraft designed to meet the evolving demands of airborne law enforcement operations.
The scope of work included full cockpit redesign and integration of Garmin flight systems, upgraded multi-band communication suites, real-time video and mapping systems, and NVIS-compatible lighting for night operations. Additional enhancements such as airframe upgrades, environmental systems, crash-resistant fuel systems, and specialized mission equipment ensure durability, operational efficiency, and crew safety. This re-completion effort extends the lifecycle of the fleet while elevating performance, reliability, and mission capability across every aircraft.
